Greg O’Donnell is one of America’s leading authority on guaranteed lending programs and author of ‘The Best-Kept Secret to Improved Bank Profits’ along with his award winning Amazon International Best Seller, ‘Ready, Aim, Influence.’ Greg has provided guidance and council to both banks and clients regarding all aspects of the USDA Guaranteed Loan program from structure to maximizing secondary market sales of the guaranteed portion of the loans. During the course of his career, Greg has originated and placed over $500 million of loans spanning over twenty years.
Guaranteed Lending Specialists works with lenders and borrowers throughout the country regarding USDA government guaranteed loan programs. His coaching and consulting covers the details of the Business & Industry (B&I), Community Facilities (CF) loan programs as well as the Rural Energy for America Programs (REAP) loans and grants. His expertise on the program includes the basic concepts of each program but also include marketing, structuring, profitability and the secondary market tips and tricks. He has established a comprehensive Training Program for lenders throughout the United States including providing Continuing Education Credits approved by the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB).
Professionally, Greg is the founder and former Executive Director of the National Rural Lenders Association as well as being a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He regularly speaks at these events discussing guaranteed lending programs along with providing educational guidance and assistance.
Patrick Kenney has over 35 years of diversified commercial lending and related banking experience. He has served as a corporate loan officer and commercial real estate department manager, senior credit officer, and has supervised troubled banks under the auspices of regulatory authorities. Pat has in-depth knowledge in loan structuring, underwriting, portfolio management, and loan closings. His many years in commercial banking has allowed Pat to develop deep knowledge about a number of industries including manufacturing, real estate, and wholesale/distribution. Most recently, Pat was manager of capital markets for a national lender specializing in government guaranteed loans.
Pat is a founding member of the National Rural Lenders Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Valerie Red-Horse Mohl of Cherokee ancestry, is the owner/founder of Red-Horse Financial Group, Inc., a financial advisory firm focused on tribal finance. She has more than 30 years in-depth experience in the financial services and investment banking industry including debt restructuring, government guaranteed loans, private placements, municipal issuance, high yield bonds, leveraged finance and management turnaround. Ms. Red-Horse Mohl has led over fifty financial mandates totaling in excess of $3 billion dollars in transactions and has assisted/advised tribal clients on capital raises ranging from $1 million to $1 billion. Additionally, she has been requested to testify, as a professional expert, regarding tribal finance, for both State and Federal Legislative bodies. Red-Horse earned a B.A. with Cum Laude honors from UCLA and has been profiled in cover stories of the WALL STREET JOURNAL, FORTUNE SMALL BUSINESS and MINORITY BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR. Ms. Red-Horse Mohl holds seven FINRA registrations and is a licensed life insurance agent. She has been married since 1982 to former NFL player and fellow investment banker, Curt Mohl; they have three children and the family has founded several non-profit ministries focused on improving conditions on tribal reservations.
Chris Walker, MSW, is the Manager of Tribal Relations for Guaranteed Lending Specialists, a firm that provides expertize in securing financing within the USDA Community Facilities and Business and Industry programs. This unique partnership of health care delivery system services and financing knowledge creates a direct pathway for completing essential facilities to serve tribal communities.
With 30 plus years of senior/executive management experience in Tribal, IHS and private sector health care systems he has keen and unique insights into operations which have value added outcomes for tribal leaders and their health programs.
Chris is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation where he served in the tribes’ health system as a Clinic Administrator, Senior Director of Health Policy and Planning, and Executive Director. During his term as Executive Director the Health System developed a 15 YEAR Long Range Strategic Plan which to date has resulted in the construction and remodeling of 4 new and/or facility expansion projects of over 700,000 square feet of space (approximate cost of $270M), including 3 IHS Joint Venture Projects, developed the first PACE Program for Indians in the US, completed the assumption of operations of WW Hastings Hospital, completed national accreditation on 4 operational components (CARF for Jack Brown Treatment Center, AAAHC for clinics, CAAS for the tribal EMS and DNV for the health system).
He also has national experience having been a former Bush Presidential Appointee, serving as the Senior Advisor on Indian Health Care to the Secretary Leavitt at HHS, and Director Dr. Chuck Grim at IHS.
Chris founded Tribalhealth Alliance LLC in 2007 where he is CEO. Tribalhealth Alliance is a 100% Native American owned health consulting company dedicated to assisting tribes in transition activities to develop skills to assume or to build upon existing strengths to manage their own health programs.
